BD to Padres
Brad Davis signed a minor league contract with the San Diego Padres this week, bringing an end to his eight-year tenure in the Marlins organization.
BD played in 184 games with the Zephyrs over the last three years, and enjoyed his finest run over the final six weeks of the 2011 campaign, when he batted a Pacific Coast League-leading .388 from July 20th to the end of the season.
Davis played in 33 games with the Marlins in 2010, becoming the first catcher in franchise history to hit a grand slam.
