USA ties for bronze

The U.S. team had their bronze medal game at the 2011 Baseball World Cup in Panama City cancelled by rain, and will share the bronze with Canada.

Zephyrs teammates Joe Thurston and Pete Andrelczyk contributed greatly to the U.S. coming home with the bronze. Thurston led the team with a .439 batting average, six doubles and 10 RBI in 10 games, while Andrelczyk had a 1.50 ERA and one save in six innings pitched.

Team USA opens up Pan Am Games competition against the Dominican Republic on Thursday.
