Zephyrs look for the spilt

After a 6 plus hour day in Sacramento yesterday, The Zephyrs and Cats meet tonight in the final game of the series and west-coast road trip.

The Z’s are 4-3 on the trip and a win today would give NOLA a winning road-trip.

*The Zephyrs pitching staff allowed a total of 10 free passes yesterday, including nine walks and one hit
batsman. Adalberto Mendez walked five batters in 3.1 innings, giving him a team-high 28 walks on the year. The
Zephyrs have now issued a league-high 227 free passes (202 walks, 25 hit by pitches). Iowa ranks second with 218.

*By going 2×4 with a home run, Ruben Gotay continued his success on the road, where he is hitting
.297 (22×74) with four home runs and 12 RBI. At home, Gotay is batting .210 (17×81) with one homer and three RBI.

*The Zephyrs bullpen has worked 22.0 innings over the last four games (5½ innings per game). No Zephyrs starter has gone at least 7.0 innings since Tom Koehler tied a career high with an 8.0-inning outing vs. Salt Lake on May 11. In six of the 13 games since, the New Orleans starting pitcher has failed to get out of the fourth

Here is today’s line-up:
