Earth Day Moves

The Z’s and
Isotopes celebrate Earth Day 2010 tonight at The Shrine .  Z’s will be wearing green to celebrate.

The Z’s are 8-10 all-time on earth day and have dropped 4 of their last
5. 

The
Z’s made announced two roster moves today, as RH relief pitcher Jose Veras and
1B/OF Hunter Mense were added to the Zephyrs roster. To make room for the two,
reliever A.J. Battisto was sent to AA-Jacksonville; shortstop Donnie Murphy was
placed on the disabled list. Battisto was 0-0 with a 6.48 ERA in four games
with the Z’s, while Murphy batted .250 in 12 starts for the Zephyrs with four
doubles and one home run. Veras went 1-0 with a 15.43 ERA in four-relief
appearance with Florida. Mense batted .231
in 26 at-bats with Jupiter in the Florida State League.
