The Rotation

The
Zephyrs starting pitching rotation has been thrown into chaos once again.  The Z’s did get a very good start from John
Koronka on Thursday and opened the 9 day road trip with a win.

Friday’s
scheduled starter Gary Glover has been placed on the inactive roster.  The veteran Glover is working on a contract
to play professionally in
Korea.  The Marlins and the Korean league are working
on the details to sell his contract.  He
will not start on Friday and Jarrett Santos moves into the rotation.

Sunday’s
scheduled starter Hayden Penn had a death in his family on Wednesday and will
be placed on the bereavement list.

Daniel
Barone started the season in the Z’s rotation and after a frustrating April and
May he asked for his release from the team on Monday.  He was 2-6 with  5.51 ERA in 13 games.  The Marlins granted him his release and he is
a free agent.   The current rotation has no one from the original rotation back in April.

The Z’s and Express meet in the second game of the series on Friday night.
