Banged up

The
Z’s look for win number one tonight at home and the team is a little beat up.  Early today the Zephyrs made several roster
moves.  Two Zephyrs players have been placed on the disabled list during the
first two days of the current home stand. Outfielder Jai Miller suffered an
oblique strain during batting practice on Monday. First baseman Gaby Sanchez
had to be removed from yesterday’s game after spraining the MCL in his right
knee while applying a tag at home plate. Infielder Matt Craig will rejoin the
Z’s today as a replacement.

The Z’s are set to wear their white jerseys tonight
to stop the 9 game home losing streak.  .
This is the longest home losing streak to start a season and it’s tied for the
longest home losing streak in franchise history. If the Z’s were to lose again
at home today it would set the all-time record of ten straight home losses,
breaking the old record of nine set in 1995.
